Mediterranean survey of cultural wetland sites

In early September, within the activities of the Mediterranean Wetlands Working Group on Culture, Med-INA circulated a questionnaire to Mediterranean sites with significant cultural interest. The purpose of this survey is to find out in which of these sites activities are taking place to conserve the cultural heritage in conjunction with biodiversity, implementing thus the Ramsar Convention Resolution VIII.19 on ‘Taking into account the cultural values of wetlands for the effective management of sites’.

On the basis of the questionnaires, a smaller number of sites will be selected for deeper analysis, leading to conclusions on the lessons learned.
